Amos Lee

Amos Lee has announced Dreamland, a new studio album coming February 11 via Dualtone Records which finds the Billboard chart-topping artist returning with “pensive beauty” (NPR) and “his greatest asset: the weathered voice which he uses to plumb emotional depths” (Pitchfork). While Lee has long made “music to help listeners heal” (Salon), he’s most often shined a light on others’ stories, whether it be those he’s met through Musicians on Call or fans reckoning with loved ones gone too soon. But throughout Dreamland’s eleven tracks, each produced by Christian “Leggy” Langdon (Banks, Meg Myers), Lee takes perhaps his most profound turn inward to chronicle his own struggles with anxiety and isolation and despair – opening up in an effort to help destigmatize mental health challenges; and especially in our current moment.

With the announcement of Dreamland, Lee has also shared “Shoulda Known Better,” a radiant and euphoric new track which grapples with forgiving yourself when filled with remorse and moving past those moments of “lying awake in the dark” with regret. Listen to “Shoulda Known Better” and pre-order Dreamland here.

As displayed on both “Shoulda Known Better” and the recently-released Dreamland single “Worry No More,” Lee is prone to meet these challenges with a sense of unwavering optimism and penchant for connectivity. He shares that, “I’ve had a lot of episodes with anxiety in my life and now I feel much more equipped to handle them, partly because my family and friends have always been so supportive of me… thinking about healing in terms of our personal relationship to the people and the world around us. Over the course of my life I’ve come to understand that music is my bridge to other people. I have no idea what the waters are like below that bridge—it might be lava for all I know—but music allows me to float over the whole thing and connect.”

Lee has also partnered with the Soundwaves Art Foundation to create original art out of the waveforms from his most beloved songs, including “Worry No More,” with proceeds benefiting MusicCares.

An extensive run of 2022 full-band US tour dates have also been announced around Dreamland. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday October 1st at 10AM local time, with artist presale via Tickets Today beginning on September 28th at 10AM local time, Spotify presale beginning on September 29th at 10AM local time and local presales beginning on September 30th at 10AM local time. Jensen McRae will serve as support throughout the run.

Jensen McRae

My name is Jensen McRae. I’m 23, I’m a Virgo, I cried so hard during ‘Into The Spider-Verse’ that I think I went temporarily blind, and I don’t think I’ve ever said no to dessert. I write songs about mental illness, being brown, fearing adulthood, and falling in love with every boy who’s ever been nice to me. I am probably writing about you in my journal.
