Following the release of their songs ‘She Wants to Go Dancing’, a new version of their anthemic “Highway Queen” featuring Maren Morris, and a holiday collaboration with the Philly Specials which includes Jason Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles members Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, ‘Santa Drives an Astrovan’, Mt. Joy are excited to announce a North American headlining tour, set to start this Spring.
The twenty city tour kicks off on April 19 in Charlottesville, VA, making stops in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, Columbus, and more, wrapping up with two very special shows at the TD Pavilion at the Mann Center in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia on September 26 and 27. Artist pre-sale begins this Tuesday, December 3 at 10am local time, Spotify fans first presale begins on Wednesday December 4 at 12pm local, and general on sale begins on Friday December 6 at 10am local. The tour includes special concerts at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheater and Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater, and includes a Boston date at TD Garden, where singer Matt Quinn once lived when he attended Northeastern University. The band are coming off selling out New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden, and releasing three new singles: the rousing ‘She Wants to Go Dancing’, a new version of their anthemic “Highway Queen” featuring Maren Morris, and a holiday collaboration with the Philly Specials, ‘Santa Drives an Astrovan’.
Mt. Joy just wrapped up an incredible string of sold-out headlining shows across North America, including stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Chicago, and festival stops at Bourbon & Beyond, and Oceans Calling. This summer saw the Philadelphia five-piece headline shows at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheater, as well as two shared headlining shows at Fenway Park with Noah Kahan. The band’s undeniable musical prowess, live musicianship, and stage presence are steadily catapulting them to become household names, as they fast become one of America’s most beloved live bands.
The band’s collaboration with The Philly Specials reached #1 on the iTunes Holiday Chart, and is a part of the third LP in the holiday trilogy from Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata. Proceeds from album sales go to support Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s Holiday Toy Drive and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Snowflake Station, as well as other Philadelphia based organizations. Mt. Joy recently performed the song with Jason Kelce at a tailgate before an Eagles game, garnering national attention for the charity project. Mt. Joy currently has a song, ‘She Wants To Go Dancing’ charting at AAA radio and that the band is currently in Philadelphia working on their new album, which is set for release in 2025.
The Philadelphia and Los Angeles based band — Matt Quinn [vocals, guitar], Sam Cooper [guitar], Sotiris Eliopoulos [drums], Jackie Miclau [keys, piano], and Michael Byrnes [bass] — take their name from Mt. Joy in Valley Forge National Park, an area right outside of where Quinn and Cooper are from in Philadelphia. Forming in 2016, the band made their mark two years later when their self-titled, Mt. Joy, debut album spun off platinum single “Silver Lining,” an uplifting power ballad that went to #1 at AAA radio and has eclipsed over 300 million streams across platforms. Their second album, Rearrange Us, drew widespread critical raves, with the title track gaining 100 million Spotify streams since the release. Their third LP , Orange Blood, came out of the pandemic and further cemented them with another #1, Lemon Tree, at AAA.
